TCL CNY Reunion Dinner 2019

Fri, 2019-02-22

Hi ladies!

We hope that your CNY has been a fruitful one!
We had a wonderful break and we are now back in full force after a restful week.

CNY serves as a great time for us all to catch up with our friends and relatives.
And of course, we also took this chance for a get-together for our entire team!

Our team rarely has the opportunity to meet together as a whole, save for special occasions like Christmas and CNY so this reunion dinner was very much looked forward to by the entire team!

First thing first, all of us had to 拜年 to our hosts - Bree and Bert!
We brought along our mandarin oranges and well wishings for both of them.
At one point of time, we even had a snaking queue to 拜年!

Those of us who came earlier then sat around to mingle around and of course, snack a little on our favourite CNY goodies! ;)

Some of us were also really excited to meet Jake and Summer!

After everyone arrived, Bree and Bert gave a short speech to thank us all for the hard work that we have put in during the entire CNY period.

CNY is one of our peak periods and it was honestly hectic for the entire team.
Our retail team worked shifts tirelessly, our CS team worked endlessly to attend to all emails and enquires. Our logistics team also worked to their best abilities to pack all online orders and prepare for our retail stores' stock ins.
Our design team also worked hard within tight timeframes to put up all the visuals that you have seen during the entire CNY period.

Much of the work being done were all done behind the scenes but we would not have been able to make it work without everyone working hand in hand together!

Following which - Red packet distribution time!

Bree and Bert sweetly prepared a handwritten note for every single one of us who came for the reunion dinner. It was a gesture that touched us greatly because it's no mean feat preparing handwritten notes for 60 odd of us!

Next up, one of our favourite activities of CNY - Lohei!
“Lo Hei” in Cantonese, where 捞 “lo” (literally mixing) means “tossing up good fortune”, refers to the ritual adopted in Singapore of tossing the yu sheng and saying of auspicious phrases before eating it. It is popularly believed that the higher the toss, the better your prospects and fortune in the year ahead.

Bree and Bert also prepared a sumptuous spread for us all.
With a team this huge, steamboat is undoubtedly the way to go to fill tummies!

We all picked out ingredients for our table and cooked away!

Happy tummies = Happy us!

No team outing is complete without a team shot!

Our team would like to take this chance to thank all you ladies for the kind support over the entire CNY period.
Thank you for your patience and support throughout this busy period and we hoped that you loved what our team has put up for you.

In the meantime, our first new launch after CNY - Styled Escapade - will be launching online this Sunday (24/2), 8.30pm.
New arrivals have also been stocked in over at our SG retail outlets so do drop by this weekend and check them out!

Till the next!
